The Youth Engagement Audit of Canada World Youth programs and governance structures performed by Apathy is Boring in the fall of 2011 is a creative and dynamic treatment of a complex subject. For an organization like Canada World Youth, this report is an important and relevant piece of work and the results are truly laudable.

Customizable Presentations

  • 60 to 90 minutes long

  • Select from our pre-designed “à la carte” content or customize to best fit your needs.

The length of the presentations depends on how much content you’re looking for and what you want to learn. This is also a great way to start asking some important questions about how “youth friendly” your practices really are.

Half-Day Workshops

Our workshops are built with your needs in mind. In half a day, we provide insight on best practices and ways to bridge the gap between your current work and what you need to be doing to get youth involved in a meaningful way.

The workshop sessions include co-designed material to make sure that solutions are found in a collaborative way that benefit you and your youth stakeholders.

One-Day Brainstorms

We provide a setting to consult with youth regarding a specific challenge that you have identified while transmitting and sharing best practices for engaging youth stakeholders.

The goals of the session are two-fold:

  1. to provide you with actionable insight on a particular subject in the short-term and

  2. to develop your skills and capacity to engage youth stakeholders long-term.

Youth Friendly Audits

We conduct a detailed audit aimed at evaluating the “youth-friendliness” of your work, based on national best practices (e.g our 7 YF principles) and comparable indicators.

Whether you’re looking to launch a youth-facing program or thinking of making some major changes in your work culture, our audits will highlight all the areas that can be addressed to build the best relationship possible with your youth stakeholders.

Implementation

Based on the recommendations established by the audit, we build a solid plan for implementation, in which we imbed ongoing and/or punctual support until your goals are met.

  • Key focus on tracking success: our standardized implementation approach is built around measuring progress.

  • May include support with communications, outreach, and HR.
